An amazing invention that actually does what it promises!
This virtually eliminates misted up visors. I got the version specially made for Arai that fits onto the pins on the existing visor. Fits in seconds & totally transforms your riding experience.
It's really weird being able to sit at traffic lights on a cold, wet morning & leave the visor down & still be able to see.
Only minor downside is you get slight starburst effects from light sources at night.
I only got one in November 2008, just wish I had tried one sooner. Will never wear a helmet without now.

I bought a huff thing that deflects your breath downwards. It does the same effect other than it makes the lid difficult to take off.

They are ace. Even a Fogcity doesn't match up. I wouldn't go out without one if it's damp or cold.
The breath deflector doesnt stop any other moisture though Gaz. If your helmet has any moisture in at all from rain or wet hair etc the double glazing effect prevents the water from condensing as there's no cold plastic on the inside (except round the edges) |

Cheers Bazz I have looked at that site after I brought my new lid.
Unfortunatly my visor has post for tear offs
So it looks like I cant fit Pinlock.
Maybe I will have to look for a replacement visor that comes without the race posts.
Cheers |

My Shoei came with a pinlock visor and I bought a regular visor for the summer as I found the pins distracting in the corner of my eye plus I didnt want to be looking through two layers if I didnt need to.
Pinlock works perfectly even in a heavy winter storm.
Word of warning about breath deflectors. I had one and on one occasion the velcro came unstuck and I found it gets sucked onto your face as it is obviously not breathable so when you breath it is pulled over your mouth and nose and you cannot get the slightest bit of air in.
Goes without saying that if it is dislodged in an accident which leaves you unconscious then you are relying on a passer by to spot it and save your life. As people are always being told don't touch the helmet because of the risk of head injuries there is a good chance it would go unnoticed.
For that reason I urge that people avoid them at all costs. Racers use them but they get proper attention within seconds of crashing. _________________ ZX-10R |
